I’m Larah Katigbak, a multidisciplinary creative who builds worlds through color, composition, and story. Before I ever learned the word “design,” I was already making things. I was the kid selling origami, crocheted toys, loom bands, not because I needed to, but because creating something and watching people smile lit me up. I didn’t know it then, but that instinct to build, to imagine, to turn ideas into something tangible would become the foundation of everything I do today.

I grew into digital design through YouTube and fan communities on Twitter, where I taught myself branding, layout, and visual storytelling. That curiosity plus an obsession with experimentation, naturally evolved into illustration, where I am known for my artworks works and the platform I built on my art account, aka "TAKOPIIE". I draw my interests in an interesting way and create merchandise to sell at conventions where different fandoms gather.

One thing that has always defined my work is color. I love vibrant, expressive palettes, the kind that feel alive. However, I am also versatile and adjust my senses to fit a certain concept. Through years of turning my illustrations into apparel and merch, I learned how to translate digital hues into real fabric, calibrate prints, and adjust tones until they carry the same tones. I see color intuitively, and for me...it’s one of my strongest instincts.

My interests as a creative continue to expand. Beyond illustration and branding, I’m deeply drawn to music-focused creative direction, like designing album visuals, merchandise, concept worlds, and storytelling systems for brands, groups and artists. Growing up in K-pop communities shaped the way I understand theatrics, visual identity, and emotional design. It’s a space I want to explore more. Dream bigger in it. Build for it.

People describe me as lively, straightforward, collaborative, and someone who leads with clarity and warmth. I’m not afraid to experiment, but I’m also not afraid to say when something isn’t working. I value honesty, playfulness, and craft — and I try to bring all of that into my work.
